高雄義大醫院一名住院患者、73歲的俞姓老翁，本月6日晚間到醫院門口草坪上抽菸，卻遇到一名自稱是醫護人員的男子，佯裝要幫他換點滴，卻疑似注入鎮靜劑或安眠藥物將老翁迷昏，老翁被院方保全人員發現，醒來後並無大礙，但當時身上帶的1萬2000元現金卻不翼而飛。
《蘋果日報》報導，俞姓老翁預計在7日出院，6日晚間他獨自到醫院裡的ATM領好出院要繳交的醫藥費後，就到醫院大門口的草坪抽菸，此時一名自稱是醫護人員的中年男子忽然與他攀談，並表示他的點滴快打完了，要幫他更換。老翁也不疑有他，讓男子為他更換點滴，不料換完點滴後老翁就不省人事，等到醒來時人已經躺在病床上。
院方指出，當時保全人員發現老翁躺在草坪上，經查才發現他是住院病患，醫護人員檢查後發現老翁並無外傷，但他身上的1萬2000元現金則不翼而飛。
院方表示，經檢驗老翁的尿液後，發現含有BZD（鎮靜劑的一種，屬醫師處方用藥）成分高達800，劑量為一般人200的4倍，而該藥劑會讓人嗜睡，院方也已協助老翁報警處理。
警方表示，已查扣老翁的點滴並送驗，經調閱相關監視器畫面比對後，目前已鎖定一名可疑人士展開調查。
